I'm going up to LA with George today to watch the Clippers play the Timberwolves. The teams with subpar records usually appeal to me more than the regular power house teams. But, as unusual as it may seem, I don't have a basketball team. If a team were in San Diego, they would be my team. The Clippers would be the next best thing since they were from San Diego. On the other hand, the Atlanta Hawks are a team to reckon with in NBA 2K7. Joe Johnson – 'nough said.
Last night we went to El Torito for happy hour and to pre party. The flautas were as good as usual, but the camorones were just okay. It came with shrimp and a bunch of filler and the dipping sauce was a little too sweet. George and I had a pitcher each and I was pretty full after that. Then it was off to the BrewHouse in La Jolla.
More drinking like usual. I saw my cousin from LA there and I might call him tonight if we get too drunk and we can't make it back. Also, I was giving Rose a hard time cause I was drunk – I'm a mean drunk. She was the original "date" to the Clipper game, but she canceled and so I wanted to poke fun at her. Not such a good idea. She really did want to go to the game, but she is going to take her first nursing test on Tuesday and she tells me it's supposed to be a big test. Regardless, I'm still pretty agitated she bailed on me. Oh well, I understand school is priority, but with all the hype she put on the game and how she really, really wanted to go (the devil came out of her when I jokingly said I would take someone else) upsets me with the final decision.
Up until game time, I need to catch up on some reading.
